Build Anticipation
Whetting the appetite of your customer database and social followers is key to leverage anticipation and curiosity across your audience. In this section we’ll take a look at great ways to do this.
- Use our pre-promotion tools in your Dashboard to communicate your Black Friday offers to your database and build anticipation.
- Start pre-promoting your offers via your email database throughout November. Send out teaser emails at least 10 days in advance, to raise awareness and build anticipation of your offers. Continue to build anticipation through email marketing in the lead-up to Black Friday weekend
- Leverage social media pre-promotion prior to Black Friday. Set up automated social media
- Set your sales window to activate your countdown timer and thereby drive demand.
Pre-promote your vouchers to your email database
So you’ve created your vouchers and set the sales window for each one with a start date and time and end date and time of sale. This sales window defines when each voucher will be purchaseable by members of the public on your voucher sales page, and when each voucher will be removed from sale.
Now this is done, the next step is to whet the appetite of your buyers by letting them know the vouchers they will be able to buy and when the sales start.
To do this simply go to PROMOTIONS > EMAIL PROMOTIONS in your VoucherCart Account Dashboard and select the voucher (not yet available for sale) you want to pre-promote.
Now you can simply export the HTML email from the wizard and send it from your connected Mailchimp account or other 3rd party email marketing software.
Pre-promote your vouchers to your social channels
In the same way that you can pre-promote vouchers that are not yet available for sale via email, you can do the same via your social media.
Simply select the social promote options when you complete editing your voucher, or copy the sales URL and share it as needed if posting manually to your social channels outside of your VoucherCart Account Dashboard.
